It’s hard not being able to eat as much as I normally do. On a normal day I do at least an hour of cardio, and usually some type of strength training also. It allows me to eat pretty much what I want all day long (it helps that what I want is usually really good-for-me grub!), and I had gotten used to noshing all day long without any worries. Now that I’m not moving around at all, I do find that I’m not really hungry throughout the day, but it’s still really boring not eating as much. I feel like I’m missing something!
But regardless, if I’m going to make it through the next 3 months, I’m going to have to get the snacking under control. SO today, I decided to try to have a light lunch and see if I could wait until I really felt hungry again to eat. For lunch I had:
Mixed green salad with the rest of the blackbean salad thrown in, with a slice of health nut bread. Filling and delicious!
I got through most of the afternoon without snacking, but then had a handful of raisins, 2 bites of that white chocolate aspirin from the care package, and this handful of whole grain pita chips:
Ohh well. I guess I’m just used to snacking! I’m going to have to plan my snacks tomorrow so that I’m not just digging in the cabinet for treats when I’m already hungry. If only the kitchen was upstairs and I couldn’t get to it as easily on these crutches!
Everyday I’m learning more and more how the next few months are going to be, and it’s going to be hard. But this chin is up!
